Our battery chargers are already unplugged and boxed up in anticipation of a break in the weather. We have also spent enough time making sure everything on our bikes is sparkling clean and adjusted or fettled – chains, cables, fluids etc – and this is making matters worse. We are ready to ride and need to ride.
But before the sun breaks through and dry roads appear, spend a little more time checking out any accessories you may have fitted before and during winter, but especially if you’ve braved the cold and wet and got covered in road grime.
Of course, we do include Evotech Performance accessories in that preflight check list. Did you remove the Evotech Radiator Guard as part of a deep clean and have you double checked all fasteners are tight and all rubber vibration pads are still in place?
Have you checked that all fasteners on EP Crash Protection, Bar Ends, Tail Tidies and more are all tightened correctly. What about double checking any wiring you may have moved while fitting accessories; it’s worth it just in case the seat or panels have rubbed against the wiring loom or connector blocks.
Finally, remember your safety is paramount. Vibration can loosen all manner of things (not including wallets). Engine vibration, badly surfaced roads, high speed riding and braking can affect every fastener on a motorcycle. So, don’t just check the usual suspects of wheel spindle nuts, headstock and wheel bearings and so on, check also every fastener of every accessory you or someone previously may have fitted.
Just like last year and the year before and the year... The team at Evotech Performance hopes you have a happy riding year. See you on the road, hopefully, soon.
]]>We always knew the 1390 Super Duke would be popular but, to us at least, it seems everyone with a smattering of desire for a road storming, neck snapping, universal, naked super bike has turned their eyes towards this model. At least the amount of trade-ins and private sales of bikes being moved on by owners in order to net a 1390 Super Duke will ensure second-hand bike sales stay buoyant.
And we’re not just talking about the UK but just about every country where KTM models are readily available. Surely the only other thing that would generate further interest in the new 1390 would be a one-make race series supporting MotoGP or WSB. We’d pay just to see that spectacle!
So, huge global interest in the 1390 Super Duke R and R Evo means huge interest in Evotech Performance parts to suit these Austrian-made tools. And yes, we have produced a range of accessories. And yes, we apologise to everybody who has ordered accessories only to find they are out of stock and to sign up for “in stock” notifications while we do everything we can to get them back on the website and ensure minimum disruption.
So what is the most popular Evotech performance accessory so far for the 2024 1390 twins? You might be surprised to know there’s not one accessory shooting ahead. Evo Clutch & Brake (Short & Folding type) levers, Bar End Mirrors, Lever Protectors, Radiator Guard, Crash Protection, Tail Tidy… every listed product is being shipped to countries worldwide.
Shop KTM 1390 Super Duke R accessories hereWith good all-year weather and iffy daytime TV dramas, it’s no wonder Australian ladies and gents like to get out of the house and ride or get out into the garage for a spot of accessory fitting. Yes, we have a lot of Evotech Performance fans in Australia.
Before Evotech Performance officially launched the range of Evotech Bar End Mirrors, Australian customers were among the first to sign up for stock notifications. Another similarity between UK and Australian customers is product review honesty. This became abundantly clear when we came across a YouTube review of Evotech Bar End Mirrors by Liquid Audio, who resides in Perth, Western Australia.
The Evotech Bar End Mirrors reviewed in his video had been fitted to a 2023 BMW R 1250 R Triple Black and are the Evotech units that do not include the optional Evotech Lever Protectors. So how did this customer rate his Evotech Bar End Mirrors after commenting on his packaging, weighing them against standard bar end weights, how they fitted and worked when riding? See for yourself. If you had any doubts that our Bar End Mirrors aren’t the best available, this video should convince you otherwise.
“If ever there were a problem with having a bike so brilliant, so well finished and so perfect in its box-fresh form, it’s the question of how you can add to it? That’s been a mind-boggler for me year long with the SP2, relentlessly wondering what is worthy of adjoining the masterpiece, which comes so bloody awesomely built and spec’d from its Bologna base that there’s not much need to go fettling. As any of you that likewise enjoy going round and round on circuits to pass the time will know, lever guards are a must nowadays, or at least that is to say that front brake levers require covering to meet most UK circuit’s H&S requisites… so I went in search of one.
“But not just any old lever guard; I wanted one that would be worthy of a place on the bike. I didn’t have to look far. About fifteen miles, truth be told, to Evotech Performance, who are just down the road from me and have a cracking range of guards, covers and much, much more for most contemporary motorcycles. And that’s when the next problem hit. Having scanned their website and seen just what they had to offer, that initial need for a single lever guard rapidly grew to a list as long as a Politian’s expenses.
“Rad guards were added to the mix, because stoned radiators are not much fun. And the same thought process encouraged me to get a fuel cell cover for under seat unit, that could likewise suffer some damage if ever someone started firing rocks, stones or any other such projectiles my way. And to make sure I could capture any such assailants in the process of attacking me, Evotech’s front mudguard action camera mount was a no brainer. Last but not least, the shopping was concluded by the thing I went for in the first place – a brake lever guard. And I got the clutch side too, to make sure the aforementioned didn’t get lonely.
“Fitting all of the items was a joy. I’m always weary when it comes to replacing stock parts with anything aftermarket, especially when they require new lengths of bolts and such like, but the EP stuff went on a treat, with the biggest ball-ache being having to remove the lower fairings to get the rad guards fitted. Still, a few bruised knuckles and a shed-load of swearing seemed a worthy exchange for the peace of mind that came from having the epic looking covers in place. I know that first and foremost they’re there to protect the bike, but they actually add to it aesthetically too, in my opinion. And the same should be said of the fuel cell cover, which looked the nuts when fitted in place.
“Unsurprisingly, I was soon loving the look and feel of the lever guards. I’m not normally a fan of using guards, as I ride with my hands right towards the end of the bars, so often find my fingers ‘locked-in’, but the EP options don’t make me feel that way. They’re sleek in their design and that’s maybe why they don’t bother me, made all the better by their performance enhancing guise. They look right on the bike, along with the other bits I’ve mentioned. The only out of place item is the action camera mount, because it protrudes from the bike’s otherwise flowing disposition, but it literally wouldn’t work if it were hugging the guard too closely. More to the point, the bigger picture is that the video footage on tap, whether pointed forwards or backwards, is brilliant. I’ve only ever used the camera fitted on the circuit but was loving the imagery that came about from it, regardless of which direction it was facing. If capturing footage is your thing, this mount is a no brainer, and the good news is that EP do loads more mount options too.”
]]>When we decide to instigate a product revamp, it usually involves discussion (a lot), hours of computational design, several litres of Yorkshire Tea, prototyping, testing, material sourcing, jig design and manufacture, time calculations and so much more. And all projects are done in accordance with ISO 9001 regulatory standards and procedures, which involves paperwork. So yes, in short, we don’t do things by halves and there’s definitely no rest involved.
To be honest, we were reluctant to update the Evotech Brake & Clutch Lever Sets (short and folding variety) because of their extreme popularity – approx. 70k+ pairs sold. But we knew they could be better in terms of how they feel to be used and be styled to set them apart from myriad of look-a-likes.
The first area to come under review was the actual shape of the lever blade. The new Evotech Clutch and Brake Levers are now anatomically superior in that they feature deep radiused edges along each lever length for improved grip comfort, and vastly improved feel and style. CNC-machined clevis pins have replaced “nut & bolt” fasteners and are stainless steel – as are the retaining clips and, where supplied, piston adjustment screw/barrel and tension retaining springs. The six-way lever span adjusters are also revised to be a more streamlined fit.
There was much internal debate about supplying the Evotech Clutch and Brake Lever Sets in various anodised colours. We settled again for traditional ‘black’ finish with ‘red’ finger span adjusters across the board for no other reason than this colour arrangement blends into the bike’s overall aesthetics. However, given that so many riders prefer coloured options, we have extended the colour options of the replacement Evo Lever span adjusters – available from our Evotech Accessories section on the website. Choices are: Green, Silver, Blue, Black, Gold, Orange, Titanium. Oh, and each set is supplied with a conversion jig to make the swap over easy.
Evotech Brake and Clutch Lever sets are available in Short and Folding versions, and the latest Evotech Folding Clutch & Short Brake Lever Set. The Short “two-finger” levers now also feature “snap points” near the ball ends just in case they hit a raised kerb or similar. Levers and bracket mount unions feature Evotech Performance brand logos.
]]>There are two solid reasons for this. Many of the 1990s generation cut their biking teeth on 400cc supersport machines. Others simply remember the appeal of owning a screaming four-stroke “pocket-rocket”, especially after having witnessed many leading and up-and-coming race stars bashing fairings on similar bikes such as the Yamaha FZR400RRSP, Honda VFR400 R (NC30) and RVF400 plus the Suzuki GSX-R400 R / SP. Adding 250cc strokers to the mix really did make the hairs of race spectators stand up. And fall out…
The other reason is the appeal of cutting loose on a race-replica is as strong today as it ever was with the difference being the performance output of a 400cc sports bike is friendlier (read easier to make use of) and cheaper than, say, a 200bhp Ducati Panigale!
There are some of us at Evotech Performance who remember the fun side of 1990s motorcycle ownership and have been really looking forward, in particular, to producing a suite of Evotech parts and accessories for the Kawasaki Ninja 40th Anniversary Edition ZX-4RR.
The new collection includes a very tasty Evotech Tail Tidy and Radiator Guard – the kind of kit we (the remnants) of the 1990s would spend our spare cash on or try and make. If only we had Lever Protectors and decent replacement Exhaust Hangers too.

]]>The only motorcycling joy for many is getting their bike prepped for spring and that first decent ride. If you’ve already been out and about, or ridden through ice and snow day in, day out, we’ll assume you live in warmer climes, or you’ve got thick blood and some decent winter riding gear. It’s not for us here at Evotech Performance. We’re nearly all motorcyclists but all are definitely fair weather riders. It’s an age thing.
Talking of bike preparation, we are also mightily pleased our EP Sequential LED Indicators are going down a storm with customers. Comments like “really noticeable… perfect fit out of the box,” and “suit my bike perfectly” warm our hearts every time. We’re also about to stock EP indicator relays that will prevent hyperflash on certain bike models. Read more about this new Evotech Performance accessory here: https://evotech-performance.com/blogs/news/a-turn-for-the-better.
Another EP accessory that has surprised us with its popularity is the EP Motorcycle USB Charger. In a nutshell, it’s a waterproof 1.2v, USB, type-A charge point with a 2.2 metre lead to enable routing to any point on your bike. There’s a fitting kit with it, too and is ideal for phone or sat nav use.
Last but not least, we are already drawing up plans for one or two EP works rideouts in 2024. Squires at Sherburn, Yorks is on the list. If you know of good sized bike meets with, obviously, food and tea/coffee facilities, please let us know. Best way to do this is to become a member of our Facebook forum Rider Torque and place the info on a post, preferably with a bike meet photograph or two. Join us here.
]]>EP Radiator Guards
Quite simply, our Radiator Guards protect your bike’s radiator from road debris, while still allowing essential cooling air to pass through. Ever been hit by a stone from passing traffic? Flying stones can dent or even puncture your bike’s radiator, causing it to leak. Radiators are extremely difficult to repair and even more expensive to replace, so it’s much better (and cheaper) to protect it with a Radiator Guard instead.
EP Brake Lever Protectors
Brake Lever Protectors help prevent damage to the brake lever and handlebar controls in the event of an accident. Unlike some other brands that produce ‘universal Brake Protectors’, our EP Brake Lever Protectors are specifically designed for each model of motorcycle for a perfect factory-quality look and fit. We also produce race-inspired Brake Lever Protectors for many of our models too.
EP Tail Tidies
A Tail Tidy replaces the bike’s original rear fender, which helps to give the motorcycle a sportier look. An EP Tail Tidy repositions the bike’s number plate and lighting systems to a higher or tucked-in position to deliver a sharper, more race bike-like silhouette on sports bikes, or lessen the bulkiness of an adventure-styled motorcycle.
EP Crash Protection
Accidents happen, but they can also be costly – particularly if your bike’s expensive fairing has been damaged on impact. EP Crash Protection is fabricated from high density nylon crash bobbins with internal aluminium cores that help to take the majority of surface impact. These are held rigidly in place by CNC-machined frame mounts or replacement chassis-to-engine bolts. EP main frame Crash Protection fixes to existing mounting points and does not require any modifications to your bike.
EP Sat Nav Mounts
Never get lost again! EP Sat Nav Mounts provide a stable and secure mount to attach market-leading sat nav systems including Tom Tom and Garmin as well as popular GPS-enabled smartphones. We also sell Sat Nav spares in case you change your device.
EP Action/Safety Camera Mount
Whether you want to relive your ride or just record it for safety purposes, an Action Camera Mount allows you to film your ride from several optimum viewing positions. EP Action Cam Mounts are compatible with all popular action camera devices using the universal mounting system.
The newest addition to the Speed family, the Speed 400 combines iconic Triumph style with class-leading quality and is ideal for new riders. We recently had one of these on our bench at EP HQ and can’t wait to put its ‘characterful performance’ to the test. Register your interest in EP accessories for this model here.
KTM 1390 Super Duke R
We love KTM’s latest BEAST! Designed for sporty riding, the new KTM 1390 Super Duke R’s V-Twin engine delivers a powerful 190 Hp and 145 NM of torque and would not be out of place on a racetrack. We already have a number of EP accessories for this bike, but there’s more to come! Check them out here.
BMW R 1300 GS
Love them or hate them, BMW Motorrad knows how to make adventure touring bikes. And, we think they’ve done a good job with the latest BMW R 1300 GS. This new model features a new boxer engine and new suspension and is available in a number of variants including GS Trophy, Triple Black, and Option 719. Register your interest in EP accessories for this model here.
Honda CBR600RR
What’s not to love about the new CBR600RR? An HRC-developed supersport tool with electronics and aerodynamics taken straight from Honda’s MotoGP-level RC213V-S. Just take our money! Register your interest in EP accessories for this model here.
As well as developing accessory collections for the latest models, we’re also adding parts to our existing ranges. Developed at the end of 2023, our EP Bar End Mirrors are now available on a number of models, including the Suzuki GSX-8S, Kawasaki Z900RS and Ducati Streetfighter V2.
Don’t forget we also now stock EP LED Sequential Indicators with model-specific and universal fitments available, and rumour has it, there will be some new EP Brake and Clutch Levers coming soon too…
Cue much research by the Evotech Performance Design team, which led to the realisation that while there are many accessory indicators available, our customers wanted indicators from a trusted brand and had to be as on par quality-wise as our EP Crash Protection, Tail Tidies and Radiator Guards…
More research was followed by product testing and development. The result of which is illuminating, to say the least.
EP LED Sequential Indicators are a new addition to the Evotech Performance product range and are available in three formats:
Universal fitment – for a modern upgrade that is stylish and sporty across a wide range of models. Universal fitment units are available as a pair (2 units) for front or rear fitment, or a set of four (4 units) for a complete install.
Model specific – available as a pair or four units that include OEM-style indicator mounting plates/bodies for a fuss-free, secure installation that seamlessly integrates with the motorcycle's original equipment, preserving the bike's aesthetics while enhancing visibility and safety on the road. The model specific sets also include, where required, a wiring loom patch lead with OEM connectors to ensure an easy plug & play fitment.
EP LED Sequential Indicators are smaller than most standard indicators but are perfectly formed to be a modern upgrade that is stylish and sporty across a wide range of models – they are EC-certified and E-marked for conformity across EU member states. There are no wire filament bulbs to burn out or break due to vibration or hard knocks and they are IP66 rated against water ingress.
The sequential (scrolling) operation of the EP LED Sequential Indicators comes from the use of six LED lamps per indicator that emit high intensity orange beams. The sequential lighting effect makes turn indication far more noticeable to other road users and increases rider safety. Each indicator features a crystal-clear lens that also produces an outer edge tell-tale beam escape for side-on visibility.
Minimalistic, curved styling will give your ride a much more modern, sporty stance. The aluminium body (black anodised finish) complete with flexible stem makes them less susceptible to damage, accidental or otherwise.

]]>Now more than ever, it’s easy to access photos and info of new models almost within minutes of escaped details or manufacturer reveals but there’s nothing quite like seeing them in the plastic and metal. This is the reason why we all make the annual pilgrimage to the nearest motorcycle show, either at the end of the year or beginning of a new one. Sometimes both.
The International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition (EICMA) is undoubtedly the biggest motorcycle show on the planet. It occurs every year in November and in a huge exhibition centre in Milan. How big? Huge! The big four Japanese `bike manufacturers attend, as do the major European manufacturers.
Then there’s the raft of expanding big hitters from China, Thailand, India and, of course, the USA. Add to this list motorcycle consumable (tyres, braking components, suspension, oil and oil filter, you get the point) producers and distributors, clothing and crash helmet producers, plus the huge amount of 2EV brands, electric bicycle makes and much more, EICMA is huge. Seriously, you could group the UK’s Motorcycle Live and London Shows in just one of EICMA’s eight-plus halls.
Naturally, being motorcyclists, we here at Evotech Performance always attend EICMA. Obviously, as engineers, we go armed with various measuring equipment, cameras, notepads and mobile phone translation apps. But as always, we spend a lot of time drooling over the new bikes and all the while thinking, yes, I’d love to have that particular bike in my garage.
Ducati’s new Hypermotard 698 Mono RVE really caught our attention. Yes, it looks even more stunning close up. No wonder it took the title of “Moto più bella” (Most beautiful bike) of EICMA 2023. Whether the single-cylinder SuperMoto genre will prevail the second time around is difficult to say, but with so many different styles of bikes now available, it’s possible a new breed of rear wheel sliding lunatics will appear.
What is more interesting, though, is that Ducati have invested an awful lot of money into producing the new 659cc Superquadro Mono engine, you just know it’ll appear in another guise soon. Our money is on a new version of the early 90s Supermono. Take our deposits now, please, Mr Ducati. Obviously, the latest iteration of Multistrada is going to be just as popular as previous versions.
Kawasaki kickstarted many memories before EICMA with the new supersport ZX-4RR. But the tingle of desire didn’t really fire up until seeing it close-up in Milan. Oh yes. Desire is a strange drug – we immediately forgot about our senior aches and pains and were immediately transported back to the mid-90s, when the Japanese-only market ZXR400 models were parallel imported into Europe and sports bike fans couldn’t get enough of them. We’re expecting the same reception for today’s ZX-4RR.
Similarly, Yamaha’s XSR900 GP pulled on our memory and desire strings. What a cracking-looking tool. Priced right, this could be a global volume seller, no question. It might also slow up the interest in the updated MT-09 and the SP version, which we also got drawn to.
However, the biggest amount of love given at EICMA – ours too – was directed at the Suzuki exhibition. The new GSX-8R is technically not that different to the naked GSX-8S, but with sharp, modern supersport styling (not race-replica cramped), this happy, friendly, affordable Suzuki could top the ¾-litre sales market.
Suzuki also threw a chocolate covered curved ball with the introduction of the GSX-S1000GX. Based on the GSX1000GT, it is, in our minds, an exciting addition to the adventure-roadster hybrid group. In a nutshell, think GSX1000GT with a taller, upright seating position with wide handlebar and hand guards, semi-active suspension, tall screen and most importantly 17-in wheels. It looks a promising tool to cover mileage in comfort but also feeding our mature needs to attack the corners on a big-capacity bike without ending the day with aching joints. Should be an interesting test between this and Bee-Em’s S 1000 XR.
Being a British company, Evotech Performance has a deep fondness for the Hinkley Triumph brigade. Amongst the boatload of 2024 Japanese A2 licence-friendly bikes on display at EICMA, Triumph held its own with the new Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X. Retro and modern in such a small package shouldn’t really work but it does with these two models, and priced at just under £5,000 for the Speed 400, it’s not just motorcyclists on the learner ladder that will be buying. Royal Enfield is successful with its mid capacity models, and Triumph are surely going to have a slice of that retro success.
As always, a lot of new and exclusive models surfaced from Italy. Moto Morini turned up with some tasty looking naked sports, a big adventure bike and a sports tool. The Chinese-backed Italian company is without doubt aiming high, and we really hope the bikes sell in volumes. We like the look and specs but the competition is a known quantity.
Last but not least, Honda reintroduced the all-time great CBR600RR. Arguably the purest supersport 600 ever, this latest version hasn’t been watered down. Having grown up in a sea of 600cc race replicas, the Evotech Performance team obviously turned misty-eyed at first sight. We like to motorcycling fads are turning full circle and that in three years a whole new generation of knee-sliding riders will be searching out the best scratching roads. We can but dream.
]]>EP Cap Head bolts are produced to an exacting standard from 316 grade stainless steel – a grade that ensures high tensile strength. Another benefit of 316 stainless steel is it has a higher level of molybdenum, which contributes to its exceptional corrosion resistance. 316 grade fasteners are ideal for sea-going craft – the reason why it is commonly referred to as marine grade – and brilliant for motorcycle use.
When torqued to their correct value, EP Cap Head Bolts have a service life that is far superior to mild steel bolts, specifically OE motorcycle bolts. There’s also the matter of fastener coating on OE bolts, which in terms of quality the bright zinc coating can vary dramatically, as can the consistency of the thread (especially if the coating treatment isn’t 100% what it should be, as this can lead to very inconsistent thread quality). There’s also the matter of the OE fastener’s flanged or socket heads not always being to the required tolerance; ever wondered why some sockets fit well on some bolt heads and not on others, or why an Allen key may or may not fit easily against the internal drive walls?
So why don’t motorcycle manufacturers use 316 grade stainless steel fasteners in key areas such as wheel spindles, caliper and engine mounting bolts? Cost and time are the primary reasons; quality products and materials always cost more and take longer to produce. There is also the specialised tooling required to machine materials with a high tensile strength.
Evotech Performance replacement EP Cap Head Bolts and Caliper Bolt Sets e.g. Honda CBR1000RR-R SP (2020+) are produced in-house at our Lincolnshire-based factory on a Cincom L32 (v8+) sliding head automatic CNC lathe manufactured by Citizen Machinery Co, Ltd. Needless to say, production quality is assured. So, whether replacing M8/10/12 OE bolts on your motorcycle or require quality stainless steel bolts for another project (DIY or industrial), Evotech Performance has the answer.
See here for full EP Cap Head Bolt listings: https://evotech-performance.com/pages/crash-protection-spares]]>The outcome of a hard-fought, 11-round championship went not down to the wire, but the very live current that crackled with the sheer intensity of two team-mates vying to the last lap of the last championship race of 2023. The end result was Tommy Bridewell of BeerMonster Ducati clinched his maiden BSB championship title by just half a point over team-mate Glen Irwin.
It wasn’t any kind of luck that saw Tommy Bridewell and Glen Irwin of team BeerMonster Ducati having to duel it out for the championship win. It was simply down to race team tactics and support, bike preparation and, of course, the sheer riding talent of two men at the pinnacle of their racing careers.
With Sunday’s Race 2 confirmed as a win for Irwin and second place for Bridewell, the packed Brands Hatch circuit was alive with anticipation of a battle royale in Race 3. Irwin had to win and Bridewell had to finish lower than second place for Irwin to overcome Bridewell’s 5.5-point advantage and secure the championship.
Race 3 proved to be nothing short of spellbinding. Only the attentions of Kyle Ryde and Ryan Vickers (LAMI OMG Racing Yamaha) prevented the BeerMonster Ducati riders from romping ahead. Slowly but surely and after some brave defensive and passing moves from all four riders, Irwin and Bridewell eventually got ahead to have their own battle. Despite Irwin clinching the race, Bridewell took the championship win by placing second. With the closest run BSB finale – a mere half-point separated the BeerMonster Ducati duo – in its history, the result further underlines the fact Paul Bird Motorsport (PBM), the squad behind BeerMonster Ducati, is still the most successful BSB team.
Evotech Performance is proud to be a support partner of PBM and the BeerMonster Ducati team. It’s use of EP Race Parts is beneficial to the development of its EP accessories, especially EP Radiator Guards, EP Lever Guards and additional specialist race components. We wholeheartedly congratulate PBM on its success.
Needless to say, Evotech Performance also thanks and congratulates all teams we are privileged to be associated with as a support partner. These premier title challengers are:
After an idea and initial discussion comes the reality of turning thoughts into computer-aided designs followed by physical prototypes and their thorough testing. It’s a lengthy process and often must be repeated more than once to get everything spot on. As fabrication engineers, every detail has to be looked at and improved to ensure the finished item is nothing but quality.
This leads to our latest product, which we are really excited to reveal, an all-new three-tier range of EP Bar End Mirrors.
The Evotech Performance range of EP Bar End Mirrors are alternative replacements for the standard mirrors on a range of naked roadster, high performance naked-sports and retro motorcycles. Their unique design allows them to fit at the outer reach of the handlebar / clip-on bars on a wide range of models without any modifications.
With the EP Bar End Mirrors mounted at the widest point of the handlebar / clip-ons, the rearward view is enhanced because reflection of the rider’s elbows / shoulders is significantly reduced or eliminated completely. The way these new motorcycle mirrors are designed to be adjustable allows riders to personalise the mirror angle, ensuring optimal rearview clarity.
EP Bar End Mirrors are quality-made products that include precision moulded nylon, billet aluminium and stainless steel. All EP Bar End Mirrors feature model specific internal handlebar mounting systems meaning they are not universal to ensure a precise, positive connection to the chassis. In other words, there’s no play and certainly no need to over tighten any fasteners to hold them in place or stop them from wobbling.
Another key feature is the fact our new motorcycle mirrors can be purchased with matching EP Handlebar Lever Protectors! These protectors are fabricated to the same specification as the lever protectors supplied to EP-supported international racing teams. Furthermore, the modular design facilitates 22° of lever protector position adjustment for accurate alignment to the levers.
EP Bar End Mirrors are available in three formats:
With the EP Bar End Mirror set being a modular design, mirror assemblies can be removed and replaced with optional to buy EP Bar End Weights, or EP Lever Protectors – ideal for track day users.
Needless to say, every component part of these new motorcycle mirrors is fabricated to exacting standards from only the finest materials using the latest CNC / milling centres and software. Additional key features include:

]]>In addition, the accessory range of EP Bar End Mirrors for naked motorcycles grows wider. For the GSX-8S there are three formats available. 1) L&R mirrors, 2) L&R mirrors with EP Brake Lever Protector, and 3) L&R mirrors with EP Brake & Clutch Lever Protectors. All EP Bar End Mirrors feature model specific handlebar internal mounts. EP Bar End Mirrors are quality-made products that include precision moulded nylon, billet aluminium and stainless steel. ]]>This is the time of year most motorcyclists wheel out their motorcycles and take to the roads like flying ants take to the skies. Yep, thousands of freedom-seeking riders are now making the most of their weekends and evenings or looking forward to a relaxing biking holiday.
We here at Evotech Performance are motorcyclists. We can spend our tea break and lunchtimes boring each other by recounting personal biking stories. On the plus side, we can give each other practical and technical advice based on personal experiences too.
Maps are useful but not when stashed in a rucksack or inside a tank bag pocket when you need to turn the page. Digital maps viewed on screen and give turn-by-turn instructions, mileage countdown and more info are so much better. Smartphones with map apps to view or capable of being Bluetooth-linked to the bike’s TFT dash display, or dedicated GPS, are brilliant and we wouldn’t leave home without one or the other. But, as many of us know, they can be a faff to fit with universal brackets – the amount of switchgear now found on handlebars makes the old U-bolt clamp and ball socket mount redundant.
EP phone/GPS specific mounting brackets provide a secure method of mounting your guidance unit in a viewable position. With the inclusion of screen angle adjustment, there’s no reason to miss another junction… The huge range of bike specific EP top fork yoke smartphone/GPS mounts are also available with precise connection bases to suit the most popular connectors such as Quad Lock, Beeline Moto, Garmin, TomTom and more.
We also fabricate fairing screen mounts for guidance devices. These are available for a range of bikes but predominantly adventure bikes. This allows for a more direct, head-up view of the GPS or smartphone screen and leaves the tank more accessible for tang bags to be fitted. The one downside of fitting an electronic guidance unit is the old excuse of “I got lost” doesn’t now cut it with waiting partners.
One last piece of EP advice for mounting smartphones, especially if using smartphones with image stability/mega expensive cameras as standard. Evotech Performance recommends using a phone install manufacturer’s vibration damping system, which EP mounts readily accept.
Nobody expects the worse especially when full of excitement about a going on holiday. But there’s no harm in being prepared against unforeseen incidents. Evotech Performance produces a huge array of protection accessories. We’re not suggesting you need every available EP product for your bike but, based on experience, the difference between a hassle-free holiday or one stuck at the side of the road can be the fitment of EP Main Crash Protection, or Radiator Guard or even something not so obvious like handlebar lever protection. Have a good summer!

]]>However, there are no plans for any celebrations for these teams just yet – anybody who believes these teams and riders will remain at the top for the rest of the season could be in for a shock…
With each round and in between, every team works overtime to advance their bikes’ performance. Not specifically engine output or power delivery, but the latest generation of electronics for fuelling and rider safety aids. Let’s not forget the chassis and chassis components; frame, suspension, brakes and more are continually scrutinised and adjusted/revised to get the best from them. Basically, anything that can be done to gain an edge on the competition is order of the day.
Don’t just think it’s the team bikes that are continually worked on either. The riders also undergo a constant health check regime. The days of downing a beer and smoking a cigarette between races and race weekends are long gone! Riders are now akin to professional athletes; rigorous gym workouts and mind health sessions are a necessity to remain focussed throughout a race season.
All in all, British Superbikes and the equally all-action support races is still a jewel for all to view for domestic superbike racing. The intensity of racing and level of support for this race series makes for a great spectator spectacle. With Cadwell Park race circuit in Lincolnshire, it’s Evotech Performance’s local circuit. See you there?
]]>Evotech Performance parts are used by many top motorcycle teams in both the British and world series’ and if they’re good enough for the racetrack, they’re good enough for the road too! Want to upgrade your Honda like John McGuinness’ HRC Fireblade? Fancy kitting your Ducati out like PBM’s BeerMonster? You may never be able to ride the FHO Racing BMW like Peter Hickman, but at least you can look the part!
EP Brake Lever Protectors
A must-have accessory for racing and now mandatory on track days too, EP Brake Lever Protectors literally protect the front brake lever from impact. On the track, they can help prevent accidental activation of the front brake from clipping another rider, while on the road, they can help prevent damage to the brake lever and handlebar controls in the event of a spill, or simply dropping the bike at standstill (which happens more often than you think).
All EP Brake Lever Protectors are specifically designed for each model of motorcycle and reflect the aesthetics of the standard motorcycle. In other words, we don’t produce ‘universal’ protectors, so you are always guaranteed of a perfect factory-quality look and fit.
Many of our EP Brake Lever Protector Kits are also now available in two different styles – ‘Race’ or ‘Road’. What’s the difference? Check out this article.
EP Radiator Guard
You can’t miss our EP Radiator Guards on the racetrack, especially in the British Superbike Championship, and there is good reason too.
EP Radiator Guards are designed to protect the radiator’s delicate cooling fins and internal waterways by preventing stones, grit, and other debris from puncturing the radiator’s delicate aluminium construction and causing it to leak. If this happens, the engine will overheat and potentially cause irreparable damage. Escaping coolant can also leak on to the tyres, causing loss of grip. A punctured or overheated radiator means the end of a competitor’s race, and that’s a risk the top teams are not willing to take.
Many of the EP Radiator Guards you see on the racetrack in the Superstock series’ are exactly the same as the ones you would fit to your road bike too. What better test for EP product development is there?
EP Exhaust Hangers
An exhaust hanger is a straight replacement for the standard exhaust hanger and, in most cases, the pillion peg bracket to allow the use of race exhaust systems as well as retaining the standard exhaust. CNC-produced from aluminium and powder coated for durability, the EP Exhaust Hanger gives weight reduction and further enhances the race replica-look. The EP Exhaust Hanger is also a viable, cheaper replacement to a damaged standard exhaust bracket.
EP Paddock Stand Bobbins
Paddock stand bobbins are the ideal solution for maintenance and long-term bike storage with the rear wheel off the ground. Each bobbin is engineered to positively ‘catch’ and hold paddock stand C-cups and V-type mounts. EP Paddock Stand Bobbins are designed to support the weight of the motorcycle only – they are not designed to withstand the additional weight of a person sitting on the bike. EP Paddock Stand Bobbins should be treated as a workshop tool and removed for rides.
It looks like most of the long-awaited 2023 models are finally starting to arrive in dealerships too, so if you’ve had your name on a new Honda CB750 Hornet, a race-ready BMW M 1000 RR or an upgraded Triumph Street Triple 765, you’re probably making space in your garage right about now…
This also means that you might be considering what accessories you need to really make your new bike your own. Tail tidy to smarten its rear end? Crash protection for added peace of mind? Or maybe a sat nav mount to ensure you always get home on time?
If you’re not really sure what you’re looking for, our ultimate guide to EP accessories should help you out. Happy shopping!
EP Tail Tidy
Evotech Performance has an enviable reputation for designing and fabricating the best tail tidies available. The one area of a motorcycle that benefits from modification is the tail section, specifically the area of the rear fender. Replacing the rear fender along with relocating some or all of the rear lighting assembly gives the motorcycle a sportier stance.
EP Crash protection
EP Crash Protection helps to safeguard the motorcycle in the case of an incident. An “incident” doesn’t necessarily mean a big off on gravel or diesel covered roads though – dropping a bike while at standstill is common (even if not readily admitted). EP Crash Protection typically features two major components: 1) high density nylon crash bobbins with internal aluminium cores (inserted during the moulding process) that take the brunt of surface impact. And 2) exquisite CNC-machined EP frame mounts or replacement chassis-to-engine bolts, which the EP crash bobbins are rigidly held in place.
EP Radiator Guard
A radiator guard is a shield that fits to the front (and sometimes the side) of your motorcycle’s radiator. The main reason for fitting a radiator guard to your bike is to protect the radiator from road debris, while still allowing essential cooling air to pass through. Regardless of the speed you’re travelling or the performance of your bike, there is a high risk of a stone being flung from your front tyre or passing traffic, denting or even puncturing your bike’s radiator. As a fragile component, the radiator is very difficult to repair and even more expensive to replace, so it’s more economical to protect it with an EP Radiator Guard.
EP Spindle Bobbins
Spindle bobbins are a “bolt-on” accessory kit designed to help protect the ends of the wheel spindle ends from damage in the event of your bike making contact with the ground – not just at riding speed but also from standstill. However, spindle bobbins do more than protect the threaded section or the spindle securing bolt. The bobbins raised profile helps prevent road surface damage to the lower section of the fork legs i.e. the spindle clamps, front wheel rim and tyre, and brake calipers.
EP Sat Nav Mounts
An EP Sat Nav Mount is, as the name suggests, an EP motorcycle model specific bracket to provide a stable, secure method of attaching market leading sat nav systems. However, EP mounts can also accept fitment of popular GPS-enabled smartphones.
EP Action/Safety Camera Mount
EP's action camera mount allows the rider to record the ride from several optimum viewing positions. The brackets can be quickly installed using our online instructions and are compatible with all action camera devices using the universal action camera mounting system.
EP Engine Guard
EP Engine Guards protect the front of the engine cylinder and manifold from stones and other road debris. The guard is formed for a close fit to ensure road and front end clearance. Used in conjunction with EP Radiator and Oil Cooler Guards, the motorcycle’s engine and cooling components are fully protected – and look good while doing so. The EP Engine Guard is black powder coat finished for durability.
Rider Torque is a closed Facebook group where Evotech Performance fans can get the inside line on product information, connect with like-minded riders and other EP fans, and share tips and feedback. We’ll also use the group as a place to share access to behind-the-scenes content from EP HQ and keep you up-to-date with special announcements and features as well as give you access to exclusive offers…
But most importantly, Rider Torque is a place for riders who like to keep it real. We’re sick and tired of seeing counterfeit EP accessories on sites like AliExpress, and even more frustratingly, we can’t stand to see riders who believe they’re buying genuine EP accessories getting ripped off with cheap knock-offs. We want Rider Torque to be a source of information, where customers can be sure they’re getting the truth about Evotech Performance and our accessories. And, we hope you’ll share that information with other riders too.
Interested? We’re deliberately trying to keep our Rider Torque circle small… for now. But if you want to join our closed group and help us in the battle against counterfeit EP accessories, check out Rider Torque.
Join Rider Torque]]>From the event’s three races came three different winners, for three teams running three different makes of motorcycles. But for Evotech Performance, it was a triple-hit of excitement with all winning teams being Evotech Performance supported.
Race 1: Kyle Ryde – LAMI OMG Racing Yamaha Team
Race 2: Josh Brookes – FHO Racing BMW Motorrad Team
Race 3: Glenn Irwin – BeerMonster Ducati Team
Being supported teams means that the race-honed superbikes are kitted out with EP Race products. These products can take many forms but are usually EP Race Radiator and Oil Cooler Guards, Brake and Clutch Lever Protectors, Exhaust Hangers and, often out-of-sight specialist brackets for instrument displays, batteries, approved ignition systems, clip-on handlebars and much more.
As part of our commitment to kitting out supported teams with EP race products, we continually monitor the feedback that we receive from riders and teams, so celebrations never last long at EPHQ in Lincolnshire as we’re always straight back into development of our race products and the road products they inspire.
The extreme racing conditions in BSB make the race series the perfect test bed for EP product development. Be it crash capability of protective parts or the protection strength of cooler guards without reducing the cooling effect of fresh air reaching the radiator and oil coolers, we carefully listen to what the team techs tell us in order to ensure that the same manufacturing tolerances and material grades go into manufacturing road-going EP accessories.
]]>We called on two racers who know exactly how that feels – twins Tim and Tom Neave – for our latest Racer to Maker video.
We’ve supported the brothers in their racing activities for several years, and they also know a bit about good engineering too. That’s why we asked them to come to EP HQ and help us fit a couple of accessories to one of our bikes to see if they can difference between a real set and a fake one.
They may be awesome on the track, but who will be the real deal on the factory floor?
]]>The emphasis of change was not only to maintain their proven ability to deliver a greater degree of damage protection, but also to reduce unpleasant high frequency vibration – the side effects of which can be irritating, or worse, loss of sensation in the hands – and to blend in with the stylish aesthetics of motorcycles today.
Protection-wise, the new range includes a modular fitting design for ease of fit but at the same maintain the required “rock solid” mounting strength that has always been associated with EP Bar End Weights. Furthermore, all components that go to make EP Bar End Weights are stainless steel. From the actual bar end through to the new locking system, only quality stainless steel machined to exacting tolerances is used.
Also new to the EP Bar End Weight line-up is range of optional “Race” bar end weights. These bar end weights are more streamlined by being dimensionally smaller and, therefore, weigh less than the “Road” versions. Although entitled Race, they are suitable for road-going bikes especially if owners require slimmer, less bulky bar end weights. While protective quality is not compromised, the ability to lessen or remove vibrations, model of bike dependent, is reduced, if at all, to similar to that of OE bar end weights.
Another reason for updating the EP Bar End Weight product was to support the increasing demand for EP Front Brake Lever Protectors. Although designed primarily for circuit use (racing or track day), EP Front Brake Lever Protector qualities of style and race proven safety has meant an increase in road riders requiring the same protection. The majority of the latest EP Bar End Weights can be configured to accept the aerodynamic front brake lever protection blade, and also a clutch lever protective blade in the combined EP Brake & Clutch Lever Protector Kit.
All EP Bar End Weights are machined from billet stainless steel for corrosion resistance and black powder coated to the same standard or above as OE products. As with most EP crash protection accessories, individual replacement parts are available and can be ordered direct from Evotech Performance.
