Cadwell Park Dreaming: Remembering BSB Round 7

As the trucks roll into Donnington Park for another weekend of exciting BSB racing, here at Evotech towers we are still basking in memories of heady summer days spent at Cadwell’s Party in the Park 2025.

Evotech’s design, production and dispatch facility, in Alford, is less than 15 miles away from Lincolnshire’s iconic racetrack - very much our home racing venue!  Many of the 40 strong Evotech staff and their families stretched their legs hiking the twists and turns of the Wolds track, watching racers jump the iconic Mountain, or master the downhill twists of Mansfield and the Hairpin. Company directors Chris and Dan made it a family affair, bringing the kids along to Sunday qualifying and racing, thanks to the hospitality of Nitrous Competitions OMG Racing. And face of Evotech, Garry Twigg, was a guest on the grid for Monday’s race 3 with DAO Honda.

And the premium racing on display didn’t let us down. The end of the bank holiday weekend saw Kyle Ryde pip Bradley Ray to lead the championship by just two points.

But the traffic wasn’t all one way from Evotech to Cadwell Park. Before a wheel had been turned on track, with garages set up and bikes readied for the green light, race Teams Hager PBM Ducati and Nitrous Competitions OMG Racing found time to pop by for a quick tour, cuppa and a catch up. Dan and Chris led the way, stopping off in the design office, modula tower storage, production floor and pad-printing before the teams headed back to Cadwell clutching a few Evotech goodies to play with.

One Evotech part unexpectedly caught the eye of the OMG team: the newly released Front Brake Safety Lock. Utilising 3D printing technologies for a strong mixed material structure, the Front Brake Safety Lock secures over the handlebar with the brake engaged. Needless to say, the possibilities for safe storage, transport and maintenance of the superbikes were quickly running through the heads of the experienced riders and mechanics. Judging by the phone calls we have had over the last few weeks, a few other of the teams might have cottoned on to the potential uses too.

With the British Superbike Championship hotting up for the last few autumn rounds, our hopes are high for some exciting racing to round off the season. And as you watch the racing this weekend, we wonder how many Evotech Front Brake Safety Locks you will spot in the paddock.
