Will fitting Evotech Crash Protection require me to modify my Ducati Multistrada V4?

When designing crash protection for any motorcycle, Evotech Performance have a simple mantra – respect the motorcycle with no modifications or alterations. Following the flowing body lines of the V4 design, the EP crash bobbins for the Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak are positioned for maximum protection, but with minimum effect to the aesthetics of the bike. Should an incident occur, Evotech crash bungs can be purchased separately if required.

 

Note: Once the Evotech Performance crash protection has been installed the Ducati adjustable air deflectors cannot be fully opened.

Peace of mind never looked so good.

After a near drop I was looking for crash bars that didn't weigh the same as my multistrada pikes peak.
I found a few videos of multistrada's being dropped at slow speed with these attached so decided to give them a go.
I've already fitted Evo Tech accessories before on a few bikes and my Pikes peak has the tail tidy, rad protectors and hand guards and all have been a pleasure to fit. These are no different.
Some written instructions in the expertly eco friendly packaging would have been nice, but the online video is clear and easy to follow.
I'm very pleased with the result. They weigh only 2KG and don't look out of place. All the parts are beautifully machined, even down to logos on bolts.
Hopefully I won't get to test them fully but I'm confident the investment will save excessive damage to the costly Ducati fairings and parts..

Evotech Pikes Peak Bobbins. Awesome!

Unboxing the mounts and bobbins was a great feeling, well wrapped up and it was like Christmas morning, well, that’s how I remember it.

The quality of the mounts is fantastic, once fitted on the bike I was well impressed, not only with the product but my engineering skills fitting them, I totally recommend them.
