Why does my Yamaha need Evotech lever guards fitting?
The Evotech Brake Lever Protector Kit will improve the Yamaha YZF-R1 in two clear ways. Firstly, as the name suggests, the aerodynamic aluminium lever protector shapes around the motorcycle’s right-hand brake lever, aiming to prevent unexpected knocks whilst riding which could cause a loss on control. A matching Evotech bar end weight is supplied for the clutch side of the handlebars. Secondly, the integrated bar ends are produced from stainless steel, with the larger Road size adding weight to each handlebar end, reducing the high-frequency vibrations. Each of the handlebar end parts has accurate fitting and is finished with a sleek, durable powder-coating, for a stylish finish to the handlebars.
Note: When fitting Evotech Brake Lever Protector Kits, it is the rider’s responsibility to ensure the motorcycle’s throttle action (correct free-play, smooth opening and closing of the throttle, etc) is not impaired in any way. EP Brake Lever Protector Kits are designed to be used only with the OE throttle tube and handlebar grip.
