Is an EP radiator guard really necessary?

100% yes. An EP radiator guard protects the GSX-8S  radiator from light and severe damage caused by road debris, while allowing cooling air to pass through. The Suzuki radiator consists of thin cooling fins and internal cores - the fins easily bend and block the passage of air, which will eventually lead to overheating and reduction in engine performance. The internal cores could also be holed by debris, such as a stone being picked up by the bike's front tyre or other traffic and flung directly at the radiator. The result is rapid engine overheating, and if the slippery coolant sprays onto the tyres it can cause sudden loss of grip.

Next day delivery

Perfect fit

The item arrived well pack and quiclky the guard is well made good paint protection and the little outward flares on the side gives it a quality feel and look, fitting was a doddle and hassel free just make sure that the guard is pushed full over to the side away from the side panel you are trying to refit othewise it could end up behind the side panel, but the best thing i the how its secured, no cheap cable ties but purpose made insulation blocks and locatin flanges, excellent quality well chuffed thanks EP for a great item

I’m very happy with my purchase, totally worth the shipping tax as I’m in Italy. Made of good quality materials and was easy to install. The design is very nice and fits well with the bike! Also ordered the front and rear spindle bobbins kit and they’re perfect as well.

Good quality and value for money

Cheaper than a rival brand who use cable ties as fixings! Certainly looks good quality though I couldn't vouch for how it will stand up to the British weather at this stage. Was easy to fit without removing the bodywork as shown in the video so that's a plus. On the other hand the video is great as the Suzuki handbook gives no advice about removing the said panels.
