Is an EP radiator guard necessary for a classic-styled motorcycle?

Yes. Most definitely. Every motorcycle radiator should feature protection because they are nearly impossible to repair and are expensive to replace. The EP Radiator Guard protects the Speed Twin from damage caused by road debris. Radiators consist of delicate cooling fins that easily bend and block the passage of air - this can lead to the engine overheating. Also, the radiator's internal waterways can be holed by stones picked up and flung directly into the radiator from the Speed Twin's front tyre, or from a rear tyre of a motorcycle, or car.

Great radiator guard

After looking at quite a few, I decided on the Evotech radiator guard and I'm glad I did! The quality is excellent, very sturdy and with a small honeycomb type design that wraps around the sides of my speed twin 1200's radiator, giving great protection front and sides, while still allowing plenty of air flow.
Some guard's have wide gaps that can allow small stones through and some guard's wrap around the sides with solid metal preventing adequate airflow. This design seems to offer to he best of both designs and the quality is evident!
