Quite simply the best there is.

I’ve had EvoTech on my bikes for a fair few years now. When I picked up my new F900R from the dealers I rode it the 6 miles home, put it in the garage, and put the radiator guard on. Wasn’t going back out without it!

All EvoTechs kit is first class. There are radiator guards and then there are EvoTechs radiator guards. However, the one for F900R is next level! It is just so well designed and made, once it’s on the bike you don’t really notice it, and that has to be high praise. It looks like it rolled off the production line with the guard fitted, the way it integrates with the OE radiator shroud is fantastic. I really can’t fault it.

The packaging is 100% plastic free, it’s all paper and cardboard. That’s amazing, they don’t even print off and include instructions which saves paper. The instructions are downloadable from the website.

And that’s the only negative point for me. Once you have had a few products from EvoTech and get used to it, you work with it. The instructions are drawings. At first you thing that’s cool, and then you try and understand them. Trying to orientate them to the bike isn’t always that easy, especially if it’s a new bike that you’ve not worked on before. I now look at the drawings a bunch of times, than go and study that area of that bike and pick out bits in the drawing that I can see on the bike, and then work it out from there. It’s a a bit of a faff but doable.

When I fitted the (EvoTech) fly screen and went to find the instructions I found that had a video showing you what to do. Way easier. I know it would be a massive task to achieve this, but having a video and the drawings for all products would make life so much easier.

The actual physical part of fitting the guard was a doddle. It just fitted. Everything lined up, no frustration, no “making it fit” it just went on. And then quietly sat there looking very smug and factory!!

So, in one sentence, a truly awesome bit of kit that just needs the fitting instructions re-thinking.

I’ll give the guard 100%. Sort then instructions and then you’d get 110% 😁
