Prompt service was a good start. The full piece/kit was ethically packaged and once unpacked was of great quality. After reading the instructions the removal of the original kit was straightforward and then the assembly of the Evotech and fitting was pretty straightforward even for a 'novice' mechanic like me. Only a few tools were needed and the little bit a previous customer noted re a slight cut in the rubber to get the wire to sit better was a great help.
Nice pieces of kit looks good and quality easy to fit
Top, best quality.
There are perhaps 2 types of people that will carry out this type of mod: 1) those that can do this type of activity in their sleep, have all tools to hand, adequate working area- and will be happy with or without instructions and 2) those who have never done minimal m/c maintenance and are totally reliant on any instructions that are given. I am firmly in the second group, but wanted to do the mod myself rather than pay £100 for someone else to do it in 2 minutes..!
The pdf was OK, but additional text would have been helpful for each slide. If the text is ‘bloomin’ obvious for people, it is easy for them to ignore it. The main issue for me was fitting the new surround around the indicators. It felt like I was fitting a square peg into a round hole- so I was sure I was doing it wrong- but there was no other way than what I was doing. I was also paranoid that I was going to go wrong somewhere and have to put the old stuff back. This, alongside working in cramped conditions, meant the whole exercise took me 2 hours. If I did it a second time, would probably take 20 mins.
Verdict: 5/5. The only minor issue was a need for more textual instructions. The end product was of very high quality. Makes the bike look the way it always should have- a beautiful compact machine from all angles- rather than a lovechild of the Monster and something out of Alien film.
First class design and build quality, puts the competition to shame. Easy install and looks great.
