What do Evotech Performance’s crash protection bobbins do?

Produced from strong nylon polymer, with an inner core of aluminium, Evotech Crash Protection bobbins are fitted to each side of the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE intending to receive impact first and reduce costly repair bills. Thoughtfully located to protect the core of the machine without compromising the rider’s leg position or motorcycle fairings, Evotech’s crash bobbins extend either side of the motorcycle. Evotech’s aluminium two-point attachment brackets secure the bobbins in position, fitted to existing mounting points to ensure modifications or drilling of fairings is not required.

  • UK – Royal Mail 48hrs to 72hrs – Expected delivery time of 2-3 working days
  • Europe – UPS Standard – Expected delivery time of 4-5 working days
  • Europe and rest of the world – Royal Mail Airmail (International Priority):
    • Europe – 6-8 working days
    • Rest of the world – 8-15 working days
  • Europe and rest of the world – UPS Express – 2-3 working days
  • Europe and rest of the world – UPS Express Saver – 4-5 working days
  • Please also note that following the UK’s exit from the EU on 31 January 2021, we have become aware of some additional charges, which are payable when your parcel reaches the destination country. Next day delivery

  • Monday to Thursday orders placed before 12pm midday will ship the same day for next day delivery (excludes bank holidays)
  • Friday orders by 12:00 midday are expected to be delivered on Monday (excludes bank holidays)
  • Saturday and Sunday orders are expected to be delivered the following Tuesday (excludes bank holidays)

Expensive

Difficult to say how good these are without actually having a spill or dropping the bike, but on appearance,they seem very well made and I like the fact they are supported by two points of fixing. So hopefully the bar between fixing points will absorb the impact and not my bike frame. They are expensive,but hopefully this is buy once, cry once.
