Will fitting Evotech Crash Protection require me to modify my Aprilia RS 660?

When designing crash protection for any motorcycle, Evotech Performance have a simple mantra – no modifications or alterations. Precision designed to securely attach to the motorcycle’s main framework, the EP crash bobbins the extend at a position that does not impede the fairing or rider position, aiming to protect the motorcycle in the unlikely event of a spill. The Evotech crash bungs can be purchased separately if required.

  • UK – Royal Mail 48hrs to 72hrs – Expected delivery time of 2-3 working days
  • Europe – UPS Standard – Expected delivery time of 4-5 working days
  • Europe and rest of the world – Royal Mail Airmail (International Priority):
    • Europe – 6-8 working days
    • Rest of the world – 8-15 working days

Next day delivery

Good product, terrible instructions

I used the R&G instructions to remove the fairings. I recommend removing the belly pan and supporting the engine with a Jack to prevent any misalignment when replacing the engine bolts. Replace them one at a time and don’t fully tighten any of the assembly until all seated. That said it all went together perfectly and was easy. Be aware you will need large Alan key sockets to torque the new bolts. The only YouTube vid I could find was someone that didn’t support the engine and threaded an engine bolt so I was pretty worried starting the fit. Hope this helps. The crash bobbins are great once installed. Very happy with them.

RS 660 - Tail Tidy, Fairng sliders

Ive purchased twice from Evotec having used them for all the crash protection on my bike added my only cosmetic mod being the tail tidy. The quality is bang on, never bing a fan of after market items i was told how good Evotec kit was and in not disappointed kt is that good. Must admit im not the most mechanically skilled biy Evotec had the covered and i used thier fitting video. Big fan of the digital help. I can sum it all up, top quality kit, top quality service and delivery almost a shame ive got all thier itmes on my bike now. See if I opt for new leavers and guards at some point.

Product is top notch. Instructions are terrible though. Take actual photos of an install. Not sketches from an 80’s music video.

They look nice and premium. The installation drawings are not easy to understand. May be a real pictures or a video would be better. Anyway the product is good and the delivery was fast.
P.S. Keep it in mind that UK is not in the EU anymore. I forgot that and payed 25% duty/tariff.
