Why should I fit EP’s Road Bar End Weights to my Yamaha?

Evotech Performance have produced EP Bar End Weights (Road) for the Yamaha MT-09 SP to place additional weight at each end of the handlebars to combat unwelcome high-frequency vibrations. Produced from stainless steel, the Road option bar weight is the larger of the two options offered by Evotech Performance and is greater in weight to Yamaha’s OE parts, ideal for maximum vibration reduction. The Bar End Weights feature a bike-specific fitting design which ensures a seamless and secure fit.

 

Note: When fitting EP Bar End Weights and EP Brake Lever Protector Kits, it is the rider’s responsibility to ensure the motorcycle’s throttle action (correct free-play, smooth opening and closing of the throttle, etc) is not impaired in any way. EP Bar End Weights and EP Brake Lever Protector Kits are designed to be used only with the OE throttle tube and handlebar grip.

  • UK – Royal Mail 48hrs to 72hrs – Expected delivery time of 2-3 working days
  • Europe – UPS Standard – Expected delivery time of 4-5 working days
  • Europe and rest of the world – Royal Mail Airmail (International Priority):
    • Europe – 6-8 working days
    • Rest of the world – 8-15 working days
  • Europe and rest of the world – UPS Express – 2-3 working days
  • Europe and rest of the world – UPS Express Saver – 4-5 working days
  • Please also note that following the UK’s exit from the EU on 31 January 2021, we have become aware of some additional charges, which are payable when your parcel reaches the destination country. These include small disbursement fees or handling fees on orders placed with UPS or Royal Mail. These additional charges are dependent on the destination country. 

Next day delivery

  • Monday to Thursday orders placed before 12pm midday will ship the same day for next day delivery (excludes bank holidays)
  • Friday orders by 12:00 midday are expected to be delivered on Monday (excludes bank holidays)
  • Saturday and Sunday orders are expected to be delivered the following Tuesday (excludes bank holidays)
  • Bank holidays and weekend orders will normally be shipped next working day.

MT SP Bar end weights

These each weigh in at 70g heavier than the stock ones and are great looking, quality bar ends. Reduced vibration below 60mph but little difference at motorway speeds. Was hoping for more comfort from them.
