I recently purchased the bobbins kit along with the hand guard protectors for the Multistrada Enduro. Unfortunately, I dropped one of the hand guards from a very short distance, and the paint chipped quite easily.
The product appears to be made of alloy with a matte black coating, which I had expected to be more durable—especially considering that one of the main purposes of these accessories is to withstand impacts from minor drops. If the bike goes down and the handlebar ends take the hit, the coating clearly won’t hold up, which compromises not only protection but also the visual appeal—another key selling point of the product.
I'll give it some time to see how the finish and materials hold up with regular use. However, given the price point of these accessories, I expected a more robust and resilient build quality..
