What is Spindle Bobbins Crash Protection?

The single-sided swing arm is integral to the Ducati Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak. EP Rear Spindle Bobbins offer protection for the lower swing arm and sprocket carriers through the innovative design of the bobbin head. The nylon outer is free to rotate over the aluminium to reduce stress from any impact grab, whilst the inner aluminium offers strength to hold the motorcycle away from harm. On the opposite side, an attractive red hub stop protects the end of the spindle.

Easy to fit and looks good

I prefer the more plain look of this over some of the other options. Seems very well made however the fitting instructions were somewhat lacking in regards to some of the parts that came with it. Another bonus was youtube videos I watched said I would have to remove the fog lights however I managed to fit the guard without having to do this.
