What is Spindle Bobbin Crash Protection?

Using Evotech Performance's experience and innovative design, Evotech Rear Spindle Bobbins for the Kawasaki Z900 offer robust protection for your motorcycle. The nylon bobbin head is supported by an aluminium inner, and held in place using a stainless steel through-rod. Should an incident occur, the bobbin is expected to take impact first and should rotate to reduce stress and minimise damage on the rear wheel.

Kawasaki Z900 (2025+) Rear spindle bobbins.

Great service and great product. I bought these to protect the swing arm in the event of a fall which has happened to me when manoeuvring a previous bike in a car park. The Kawasaki Z900 does require the castle nut and split pin changing for a self locking nut M18 x 1.5 pitch. Which I got from Fowlers in Bristol. The 2026 Honda hornet uses the same nut which then allows you to fit the M8 shaft through the rear axle. Fitted now and very pleased with the results.

Nice product

I tried adding these but the cotter pin for the left side causes issuses and the bobbins really dont fit right for this

Reasonable fit

Received in good order and fits to bike well. I have not installed as yet as the spindle cannot be fitted with the split pin on rear castle nut fitted as per factory. Still investigating my options
