Colourful outlook
Have you ever wondered why “black” is the predominant colour for accessory parts and standard motorcycle components? The answer is a simple one. Although black highlights dirt and stains, black actually hides dirt, dust and other crud significantly better than any other colour. So yes, all motorcycle manufacturers produce black-coloured parts, which means Evotech Performance EP accessories are also predominantly finished in black to blend in with standard components, or hide dirt.
There are, however, EP accessories available with colour options that really stand out – and not just when mounted correctly on a specific model of motorcycle. Examples could be the (MY21+) Triumph Speed Triple RS or BMW R nineT range of EP Exhaust Hangers. Another example is the EP KTM 1290 Super Duke R Engine Guard (MY20+). This engine guard also doubles up as a ‘bellypan’ for this bike because it incorporates side covers, which are finished in orange powder coat.
Other examples of coloured EP accessories are the all-new EP Sump Guards for the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and V4S, which come in bronze, red and black anodised finish. And let’s not forget the many anodised red, black or silver EP Rear Spindle Bobbins for single-sided swingarm motorcycles from Triumph, MV Agusta, BMW, to name but a few.
By the time you have read this, most of the motorcycle manufacturing world will have shown their new range of 2022 models. If you have seen these new machines and think one is worthy of a coloured EP accessory, let us know by Facebook Messenger. Anyone’s suggestion that does make it into production will go into a prize draw to win a much desired EP Mug and EP Mug Coaster.
