Here is the news… MotorCycle News
There cannot be many motorcyclists in the UK, Ireland and quite a few international markets who have never heard of MotorCycle News (MCN). Simply put, MCN is the world’s largest selling weekly newspaper dedicated to two-wheels, and has been available in shops and delivered by Postman Pat for just under 70 years. And then there is the today’s dotcom side of MCN, which means anyone in the world with internet access can read about new motorcycles, road tests, products, features, latest news stories, racing on all major levels, and much, much more.
The guys and girls at MCN have undoubtedly seen / reported everything to do with our passion – owning and riding motorcycles – and rank highly with bike manufacturers as a leading content producer of newsworthy stories. The MCN team are always flat out providing us with motorcycle content to digest. So, when someone as busy as Richard Newland, Editor of MCN, takes time out to visit Evotech Performance, you can only imagine how proud we were to see him ride into the Evotech factory car park.
Richard Newland admits to being a fan of UK-based engineering, and that includes quality aftermarket accessories. He has over the years used Evotech parts on various long-term test bikes and put them through their paces with favourable reports. But this time, Rich got to see how Evotech produce components for a worldwide audience – especially accessories for a 2024 BMW Motorrad R 1300 GS Tramuntana, one of the many models presently allocated to MCN’s long-term test fleet.
A full tour of the Evotech Performance site netted a lot of questions from Rich, and smiles. It was obvious to us he was blown away with the level of investment in our latest design and manufacturing technology, and the level of finish we apply to not just Evotech accessories, but also packaging and the methods employed to reduce our impact on the environment as part of our sustainability programme.
Meanwhile, our product development team were kitting out Rich’s R 1300 GS Tramuntana (aka Traumateam) with Evotech accessories – radiator guards, headlight guard, handlebar pullback and riser blocks, sidestand foot extension etc. Over the coming months, Rich will post honest updates the weekly edition of MotorCycle News and also via its website, https://www.motorcyclenews.com/mcn-fleet/
