No flies on us

Summer has arrived. Well, in the UK it has… sometimes. To say we’ve had a cold, wet start to summer is an understatement. When it is dry and warm, dear old Blighty very much resembles southern mainland Europe – just about everybody with a motorcycle takes to the open road and last-minute track day placements are more important than work!

Also making the most of sunny days are airborne insects. As motorcyclists, we are aware of the mess they cause. Green, black, red and other coloured remains splattered and baked onto fairings, headlights, clothing and more are difficult to clean off to say the least. Insect debris wedged into helmet vents are particularly annoying but not as bad as a bug through an open visor. Yuck!

Instrument consoles aka dash displays and associated wiring on many naked bikes are just as unfortunate. These costly components are like magnets to flies, wasps and all manner of flying critters, and it’s a real pain to keep these delicate components clean and safe. Well, here at Evotech we have a solution.

The Evotech Performance series of Flyscreens are proving to be brilliant as shields against insect bombardment. As quality, stylish Evotech add-ons, our customers love them. But life isn’t always about “looks.” We carefully considered the materials used for Evotech Flyscreens to keep weight to a minimum without sacrificing durability. Made from quality ABS, the flyscreen area is highly impact and chemical resistant. This means they not only add a distinctive styling upgrade but also very resilient to flying stones and overweight bugs.

Evotech Flyscreens are designed for specific models of motorcycle. The supplied mounting brackets are machined from aluminium alloy to exacting tolerances to ensure a perfect, fuss-free installation. The mounting brackets are finished in durable black powder coat.

The list of available Evotech Flyscreens is growing. The latest addition is the latest (MY24) Yamaha MT-09, with more models in the pipeline. We’d like to thank members of our Facebook group – Evotech Performance Rider Torque – for their valued input on protection against bugs and the bikes they’d like us to produce flyscreens for.
