Weight no more. The new EP Bar End Weights have arrived.
The Evotech Performance range of EP Bar End Weights has undergone a stylish and technical makeover.
The emphasis of change was not only to maintain their proven ability to deliver a greater degree of damage protection, but also to reduce unpleasant high frequency vibration – the side effects of which can be irritating, or worse, loss of sensation in the hands – and to blend in with the stylish aesthetics of motorcycles today.
Protection-wise, the new range includes a modular fitting design for ease of fit but at the same maintain the required “rock solid” mounting strength that has always been associated with EP Bar End Weights. Furthermore, all components that go to make EP Bar End Weights are stainless steel. From the actual bar end through to the new locking system, only quality stainless steel machined to exacting tolerances is used.
Also new to the EP Bar End Weight line-up is range of optional “Race” bar end weights. These bar end weights are more streamlined by being dimensionally smaller and, therefore, weigh less than the “Road” versions. Although entitled Race, they are suitable for road-going bikes especially if owners require slimmer, less bulky bar end weights. While protective quality is not compromised, the ability to lessen or remove vibrations, model of bike dependent, is reduced, if at all, to similar to that of OE bar end weights.
Another reason for updating the EP Bar End Weight product was to support the increasing demand for EP Front Brake Lever Protectors. Although designed primarily for circuit use (racing or track day), EP Front Brake Lever Protector qualities of style and race proven safety has meant an increase in road riders requiring the same protection. The majority of the latest EP Bar End Weights can be configured to accept the aerodynamic front brake lever protection blade, and also a clutch lever protective blade in the combined EP Brake & Clutch Lever Protector Kit.
All EP Bar End Weights are machined from billet stainless steel for corrosion resistance and black powder coated to the same standard or above as OE products. As with most EP crash protection accessories, individual replacement parts are available and can be ordered direct from Evotech Performance.
