What to expect in 2019 Pt 1
At the end of 2018, the major motorcycle shows once again proved to be arenas of activity and focused interest from motorcycle dealers and prospective buyers alike. It was also a hectic time for Evotech Performance; not just because the staff are motorcyclists through and through – there’s nothing like seeing the latest bikes and riding kit to fuel a motorcyclist’s passion – but also because motorcycle shows enable its time-served engineers the chance to evaluate new bike models ahead of the detailed design and fabrication process. Every little bit helps, as they say.
Evotech Performance has earmarked many new or revised model year 2019 motorcycles for EP accessory production. Top of the list was the popular Kawasaki ZX-6R supersport (636cc). The EP design team is now pleased to announce the imminent release of a comprehensive EP accessory kit for Model Year-19 ZX-6R consisting of:
- EP Tail Tidy
- EP Radiator Guard
- EP Crash Protectors
- EP Front Wheel Spindle Bobbins
- EP Rear Wheel Spindle Bobbins
- EP Front Brake Lever Protector Kit
- EP Bar End Weights
- EP Paddock Stand Bobbins
- EP Exhaust Hanger
- EP Pillion Footrest Blanking Plate
- EP Folding Brake & Clutch Lever Set
- EP Short Brake & Clutch Lever Set
Other Kawasaki models lined up for immediate Evotech Performance treatment are the new Z125 and Z400 – two learner-legal machines that are sure to kick-start a whole new generation of ‘Green Meanie’ supporters.
MV Agusta is an old name in the motorcycle world and is once again making known its performance with style presence through a new range of middleweight machines. Evotech Performance already lists a comprehensive range of accessories for this famous Italian marque including the latest specification MV Agusta Brutale 800 and Veloce Turismo, of which already in stock are EP Crash Protectors, front and rear EP Wheel Spindle Bobbins and EP Front Caliper Guard Kit. Currently in pre-production stage for these two models are EP Tail Tidies, radiator guards and an exhaust hanger for the Brutale 800. Front brake & clutch Lever protector kits will also be available in 2019.
Future additions to the EP range of accessories for the BMW R nineT are already underway and include an EP Engine Protector Guard (aka bash plate), exhaust hanger and crash protectors – a unique design that incorporates style and function i.e. ground clearance and cylinder protection in a factory-like finish.
For 1000cc superbike riders, the introduction of the all-new 2019 BMW Motorrad S 1000 RR (including the Sport version) has turned even more fans of Japanese-manufactured superbikes in the direction of the German manufacturer. Needless to say, Evotech Performance is already at the design stage for its complete range of road-going EP accessories for the double-R. Race circuit addicts will also be catered for at a later stage.
Also in the upper tier of new/revised 2019 models the EP team are keen to get on the design bench and within range of its latest 3D scanning system is the new Ducati Multistrada 1260. Sport bike-like performance together with mile-munching touring ability and light off-road work has seen popularity for Multistrada models rise for a number of years. The new 1260 version should grow even more Ducatisti. On the EP planning board is a full suite of EP accessories that have helped build the Evotech Performance reputation for products of world-class quality.
