Suzuki GSX-R1000 - Evotech Performance 2017 Product Launch
There are fewer bikes more striking in appearance than the Suzuki GSX-R1000. Suzuki has released the 2017 revision of this iconic bike which is even more track focused than its predecessors. From a bloodline that stretches back to 2001, and with influences from as far back as the 1980s, with the old Slingshot GSX-R1100, this certainly is a highly desirable machine. Evotech Performance have released a range of Suzuki GSX-R1000 accessories to both enhance and protect your machine.
The EP Tail Tidy for the GSX-R1000 will improve the appearance of the rear end of your motorcycle and subtly replaces the gigantic plastic fender which comes as standard. The Tail Tidy is beautifully engineered using a blend of precision sheet metal and CNC-machined brackets to secure the Tail Tidy in the optimal position. Fabricated from aircraft-grade aluminium and powder-coated in our textured matt black finish, this fender eliminator subtly hides the majority of the wires. The Tail Tidy also comes with a replacement LED number plate light to ensure your licence is always illuminated.
The Evotech Performance Crash Protection, for the 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000, is a typcial no drill kit. The system comprises of CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminium brackets on both sides, and powder-coated in our textured matt black finish. This enables the nylon polymer bobbin heads to be presented through the side openings in the fairing, meaning there is no need to modify the motorcycle in any way. The aluminium brackets are robustly bolted into place using the main engine/frame mounting points, with de-embrittled bolts. The Crash Protection is designed to help minimise damage in the unlikely event of a spill. Inside the nylon bobbins sliders are polyurethane impact pads which help protect the main frame from the initial shock of an impact.
Evotech Performance Radiator and Oil Cooler Guards are highly regarded amongst the International racing elite. Many of 2017’s winners can be seen sporting the distinctive EP guards. Fabricated from one piece of aircraft grade aluminium, the guards use our iconic hexagonal matrix which optimises air flow whilst offering maximum protection from road debris. Each part is designed specifically for the GSX-R1000 with the Oil Cooler Guard being unique within our range in that it bolts to the fairing and not to the oil cooler itself. This produces a sleeker, integrated appearance to your machine.
To protect the fork bottoms and swinging-arm, Evotech Performance have designed front and rear Spindle Bobbins for your 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000. These mount securely through the centre of your bike’s spindle/axle. An anodised aluminium spacer, on each side, allows the nylon bobbin head to seamlessly integrate with your machine, with a robust S/S spindle holding it all together. The injection-moulded nylon bobbin heads can be purchased separately should they need replacing. Similarly, Paddock Stand Bobbins are also available for the GSX-R1000 which will compliment a range of paddock stands on the market.
Evotech Performance have designed a new bar end, for the 2017 GSX-R1000. Turned from one piece of stainless steel these are noticeably heavier than the standard GSX-R1000 units. They are designed to help reduce handlebar vibrations, reducing hand fatigue on longer journeys. There are two colour options available: satin black or bright stainless steel. These bar ends are a direct replacement for the standard bar ends and do not require any modifications.
To eliminate the pillion footpegs Evotech Performance have designed a replacement Exhaust Hanger. CNC machined from a single billet of aluminium and then carefully crafted into shape, the part replaces the right side footpeg hanger whilst maintaining a solid mount for your exhaust. For the left hand footpeg hanger, a discreet blanking plate is included in the kit to cover any unsightly holes.
EP Levers offer greater adjustment and style to the Suzuki GSX-R1000. These come in two options: the Short Lever, which in the unlikely event of a crash is much less likely to receive an impact; the Folding Lever, which are a more conventional length but will fold upon impact to move the lever out of harm’s way.
