Firstly, this is really well packaged and a well made item. The only issue I have is that the w702 carpuride overlaps the top of the bikes dash obscuring the top 13mm of the screen (time, indicator tells and external temp). It also blocks the light sensor so the DRLs swap to low beams most of the time. Probably safer to be honest. This probably wouldn’t happen on the smaller w502.
I could find instructions but this actually fits between the factory triumph dash and the mount for it. There are longer bolts and top hat washers to make up the additional thickness created by the new bracket. You remove the windshield, a clip in cover and then the sliding assembly. You can then remove the 4 screws that hold the triumph dash to the bracket. Slide the bracket down the dash and the original dash mount, then use the longer screws and top hat washers to hold the bracket and dash in place. Then refit the other components in reverse order.
I’m wondering if Evotech could make an offset piece to raise the quad lock 10-15mm higher for the larger screened w702? I’m tempted to draw and 3D print something to test.
Happy to test an optional offset piece if you are willing to offer one?
Ideal for the job, should have bought this thev first time and not the cheaper alternative, no vibrations now A++++++++++++++
Excellent bracket and extremely sturdy. Fits in very well with the bike. NO instructions in the box but easy to fit. Just have a few nuts and bolts that not sure what there for..... Overall. Very happy
Really well made and thought out bracket/ mount fits really flush and centres the satnav perfectly. Only problem is the satnav shadows the dash and it results in the bikes light sensor being in the shade so DRL’s don’t work during the day as the light sensor thinks it’s to dark and turns the light on. Not sure that there is much Evotech could do to much about. Still a cracking piece of kit
