Why fit an EP Radiator Guard?

Radiators are positioned to benefit from open and passing airflow in order to cool engine coolant flowing through the radiator’s internal cores. However, this positioning means it is also prone to damage from road debris. The KTM 890 Duke R Radiator Guard is designed to protect the cooler’s delicate aluminium cooling fins and internal core by preventing stones, grit and other road debris from bending the cooling fins and affect its cooling properties. The guard will also help prevent stones holing the internal core and cause coolant to leak, which will result in overheating and a high chance of engine damage.

Nice piece of kit

So I bought the guard after I saw some videos on the fact that the radiator is highly susceptible to damage.
The install is very simple and there are a ton of videos on YT showing you exactly what to do, including an official one from EvoTech.
The product seems highquality and very light and the fit is spot on the motorcycle.
The only reason I didn't give 5star is the fact that the actual product is very slight different from the one in the pictures. So, in the pictures the logo with EvoTech is 3D-printed into the guard and look nice, but the actual product comes with a plastic Logo which is clipped into the guard... so it look a bit cheap.
But, as I said, the fit is perfect and there is no rattle noise coming from it. I recommend!

Ultimate protection.

Being a biker for many years you get to know quality when you see it. Evotech were always my go to brand
when I needed the best product for the job. They did not disappoint , fit and finish are exemplary as always .

Radiator guard 890 duke r

Not as advertised but not a big deal quality feels great and 10 min to install. Excellent fit. All good. I will explain, the one I saw had the evotech logo on the front lower side in the middle. Just as part of the metal structure. Embroidered on there. What arrived had a plastic clip with the evotech logo..
