Is an EP radiator guard really necessary?

Most definitely. An EP radiator guard protects the Suzuki GSX-S1000 GT radiator from damage caused by road debris, while allowing cooling air to pass through. The Suzuki radiator consists of delicate cooling fins and internal cores - these fins easily bend and block the passage of air, which can lead to the engine overheating. Also, the internal cores can be holed by debris, such as a stone. This is usually the result of debris being picked up by the bike's front tyre and flung directly into the radiator. Not only will this lead to engine overheating but slippery coolant on tyres can cause loss of grip.

Next day delivery

Good guard

Nice looking guard. Have to take fairing off to fit it but it’s easy enough to fit, much easier than R&G guard which doesn’t fit.

Nice bit of kit

A very good quality item. It's one of those things you'll never see when fitted but provides piece of mind that you know it will do it's job to prevent and large objects damaging your radiator. Instruction were found on the website (not included in the box). It was a bit of fiddles to manipulate to get in place but once secured all fits fine.

Impressive quality although expensive for what it is.

Fitment was very good and install was easy on a 2022 GSX-S1000GT. Just had to remove the side fairings. The cut out at the top wasn't truly necessary, so I'm guessing the previous gen one would work fine.

haven't had a chance to install yet but upon opening package this radiator guard is beautifully machined! nice touch with the fasteners thanks. just a side note the package was beat up pretty good upon arrival but product was undamaged!
