What protection does an EP motorcycle radiator guard give?

An Evotech Radiator Guard protect the Triumph Tiger radiator system from damage caused by road and off-road debris, while allowing cooling air to pass through - and look good at the same time. A radiator's delicate cooling fins easily bend, and misaligned fins can cause overheating. The radiator's internal cooling galleries can also be holed by stones, which are usually picked up and flung directly into the radiator from the motorcycle's front tyre or passing traffic. Leaking coolant will make the 850 Sport inoperable because of overheating, which can result in engine damage.

Radiator guard

I’ve waited a while to write this review, so after 2000 miles of riding I have noticed an engine temperature increase since fitting the Evotech Radiator Guard. The Guard blocks the top and bottom of the radiator which the standard one left uncovered hench the increased temperature. I think if Evotech drilled more holes it would be ok. I definitely love the Evotech equipment as I have used it on my last bike along with my current bike. Their stuff is always well constructed and looks fantastic. But sadly I’ve had to take this Radiator Guard off as the engine definitely runs cooler.

Well designed, quality rad guard.

The rad guards are well designed and the design seems to get the balance between providing meaningful protection and allowing sufficient airflow, which other products on the market don’t offer. The guard feels like a quality product, although I had to use a file to enlarge one of the bolt holes slightly on one of the guards to be able to get both top and bottom bolts in.

Tiger 850 radiator guard

Very prompt delivery. Great value for money and a perfect fit to my bike also as a plus when washing my bike you can now get all the crud and mud washed off the radiator without damaging the fins of the radiator.
