I was really blown away with the quality of this tail tidy. Everything was beautifully machined and fitted exactly with no adjustments - it was just spot on!. The instructions, although only available on-line, were concise and the whole fitting process was a breeze.
I liked the tail tidy so much that I immediately ordered the satnav mount which was equally as impressive. I get the impression that whatever you buy from Evotech will be top quality and worth every penny.
Nice sturdy bit of kit, not to difficult to fit, took me around 4 hours , makes the bike look much better.
For £300 you'd expect some instructions to be in the box. But I guess that's too difficult to do.
Hi David, since 2018, we've been making small changes to try and improve our carbon footprint. For example, we no longer use plastic packaging for our orders - all our packaging uses sustainable materials. In addition, our instructions are available to download from the website for easy accessibility, and to avoid excessive paper use. You should be able to find instructions for the product you ordered on the relevant product page. Hope this helps, EP Team
This is a really nice kit. The machining, fit and finish are top notch. And the design compliments the bike ... it really looks like it came from the factory that way. I personally like the way the license plate & signals stick out a few inches -- enough to provide good tire/bag clearance without looking strange. I suspect the unit might even offer a little bit of road spray protection though I haven't tested it in the rain.
The instructions are pretty basic and are made for the R. There isn't much room in the main cavity for wires so you have to put the extra length of turn signal wires in the turn signal stem base. And for the GT you need to remove the rearmost backrest bolts from underneath and reuse them to attach the bracket (this is not documented in the instructions).
Seemed very expensive til I unpacked it. Fit, finish and quality feel is impressive. Really sturdy also. No problems fitting it to the bike even if the instructions are fancier than functional. But it was a small challenge to combine with Hepco Becker C-Bow carriers (I have the Legacy bags). Turned out just fine :) Worst part is removing turn signals since it seems someone used an entire bottle of loctite on each nut. Totally love the look of the bike now and highly recommend this even if its pricey. Restyled my GT with pillion infill and replaced backrest with R infills.
