Evotech Performance Opens Its Doors to BSB
Motorcycle racing. We love it. But while MotoGP is the crème de la crème, British Superbikes (BSB) is the big cheese in the UK and beyond. Why? Because it delivers action across multiple rounds the length and breadth of the UK. Every year, the rest of the world’s home-brewed race series refer to BSB as the most exciting, hard fought race championship. We couldn’t agree more.
Round 8 of BSB, 24 - 26th August, falls across a UK Bank Holiday, where thousands of bike and race fans enjoy the scenic, spectating splendour of Cadwell Park circuit across three days. Lincolnshire’s Cadwell Park is not just a twisting, up and down, must ride track; at just 20 minutes riding time away, it is Evotech’s home circuit – and this year celebrates its 90th anniversary.
In the 21 years of Evotech Performance, we’ve personally witnessed celebrations, lows, drama on and off track, race career kickstarts and endings – all with a decent brew in hand from Cadwell’s café.
BSB actually starts on the Friday evening with a practice session, but there was an equally important event earlier in the day when riders of many of Evotech Performance supported teams visited Evotech HQ for a tour of our production and distribution facilities. It was the perfect opportunity for us to show exactly how we produce specific parts and components for their bikes, the tools of their trade.
From 3D scanning through to the use of recyclable packaging, the visitors were keen to know the ins and outs of Evotech Performance. Questions about production methods, tooling, design and much more came thick and fast from genuine interest in what Evotech actually does – for many riders and staff, the chance to see technical happenings outside of the team’s workshop and pitlane garage was a real draw.
Evotech would like to thank all our supported teams for their valued feedback on the bespoke, specialised component parts we fabricate, parts that ultimately aid development of Evotech road-going accessories. We also publicly thank the following team riders for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit EP HQ.
