Season-opener success for Evotech-supported teams

The 2025 British Superbike season finally roared into action over the Bank Holiday weekend, bringing with it much success for our supported teams.

The world’s leading domestic series fired back up at Oulton Park last Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday – and we were thrilled to see a number of our teams and riders step onto their respective podiums.

Raceways Yamaha – a team which only confirmed its return to the blue riband class a few weeks ago when it stepped in to give former champion Brad Ray a ride – certainly hit the ground running, with Ray qualifying on pole before powering to the first win of the year in Sunday afternoon’s season-opener.

Glenn Irwin was second for the Hager PBM Ducati squad as seven of our supported teams finished in the top 10.

Monday’s Sprint race brought second, third and fourth positions for our squads, with Irwin banking another second, Ray finishing third and reigning champ Kyle Ryde taking fourth for the OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing outfit.

More solid results came from our newest team, DAO Racing Honda with Lee Jackson scoring two top 10s and AJN Steelstock Kawasaki bouncing back from two DNFs in the first race, as Christian Iddon finished eighth in the second.

More success followed in Monday’s Pirelli National Superstock Championship race, this time at the hands of Luke Mossey aboard the Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles Honda.

Free practice and qualifying had been a close battle between Mossey and SMS/Nicholl Oil BMW’s David Allingham – another rider sporting our parts – with Mossey taking pole. But it was Allingham who got away first at the green light, leading for most of the race.

Mossey sat behind him all of the way and it all came down to a last lap battle, as the Padgetts bike hit the front. Allingham made one last attempt to steal the lead and the win with a dive down the inside at Lodge but  ran wide, giving Mossey the chance to hold his line and power to the line, taking the win by 0.317s.

The TAG Honda pairing of Matt Truelove and Shaun Winfield brought more top 10 success as they finished P5 and P9 respectively.

Evotech also had success in Sunday’s Quattro Group British Supersport race, as reigning champion Jack Kennedy finished second, just 0.131secs off the win, while his Honda Racing UK team-mate Dean Harrison took fifth, and Zak Corderoy crossed the line eight for Dan Cooper Motorsport Honda.
