Why does my R1 need an Evotech Radiator Guard Set?

Motorcycle engines are susceptible to damage from sticks, stones or other road debris. For the premium racing machine that is the Yamaha YZF-R1, comfortable speeding along the racetrack or cruising the roads, the Evotech Radiator Guard Set offers bespoke protection for both the radiator and oil cooler. EP’s aluminium guards follow the contours of the motorcycle’s engine with Evotech’s hexagonal design allowing air to flow whilst maintaining protection against harmful damage.

Delivery

  • UK – Royal Mail 48hrs to 72hrs – Expected delivery time of 2-3 working days
  • Europe – UPS Standard – Expected delivery time of 4-5 working days
  • Europe and rest of the world – Royal Mail Airmail (International Priority):
    • Europe – 6-8 working days
    • Rest of the world – 8-15 working days
  • Europe and rest of the world – UPS Express – 2-3 working days
  • Europe and rest of the world – UPS Express Saver – 4-5 working days
  • Please also note that following the UK’s exit from the EU on 31 January 2021, we have become aware of some additional charges, which are payable when your parcel reaches the destination country. Next day delivery

  • Monday to Thursday orders placed before 12pm midday will ship the same day for next day delivery (excludes bank holidays)

  • Saturday and Sunday orders are expected to be delivered the following Tuesday (excludes bank holidays)
  • Bank holidays and weekend orders will normally be shipped next working day.

Good Product

The radiator/oil cooler guard is the best in market for Yamaha R1. The installation is a little bit engaging but overall this is the best radiator guard as per the fitment and quality of the guards. While other radiator guards use zip ties to hold it on the radiator but Evotech’s uses the metal hooks to hold on to the radiator, very nice design. I am quiet happy with this product.

I bought these guards because the radiator guard attaches to the top of the radiator with hooks instead of with zip ties like other brands. Installed on 2024 R1.
